Ultimate Weapons Summit - Official Competition Rules
1. General Information
The Ultimate Weapons Summit is a weapons-only martial arts competition designed by competitors, for competitors. This event emphasizes skill, creativity, and performance over traditional scoring, ensuring a unique and intense competition format.
• No teams – Individual competitors only.
NO Uniforms everyone will compete in the event shirt. No team or school branding on Gi or pants
• T-shirt included – Registration fee includes an event T-shirt.
• No spectator fees – Open to the public.
• Bladed vs. Non-Bladed Divisions – Separate divisions for different weapon categories.
• No fighting divisions – This event is strictly for weapons forms competition.
2. Judging & Competition Format
2.1 Judges
• All judges are Black Belts.
• All judges must have competed within the past three years to ensure they understand the modern competitive landscape.
• Judges will evaluate performance based on skill, execution, and entertainment value rather than numerical scoring.
2.2 Mat & Performance Area
• All competition areas are 7x7 mats to maintain consistency for all competitors.
2.3 Progression & Eliminations
• No traditional scoring. Instead, after each round, half of the competitors advance, and half are eliminated.
• Drops are not an automatic disqualification – Judges will assess the full performance.
3. Special Competition Divisions
3.1 Weapons Gauntlet
• Under Belts of all ages and ranks enter the Weapons Gauntlet.
• The top four competitor finalists face off against Ultimate Athletes in a high-energy, winner-takes-all challenge.
3.2 Ultimate Weapon Roulette
• Black Belt Competitors spin a wheel featuring different weapons.
• They must improvise and perform head to head with whatever weapon they land on.
• Adaptability and creativity will be key to advancing.
4. Equipment & Discounts
• Show proof of registration to “Auntie” leading up to Summit to receive 30% off any ultimate weapons order to use at Summit Championships.
Weapons will also be available for purchase at the summit championships
5. Additional Rules
• No unsportsmanlike conduct – Competitors are expected to uphold the highest level of respect and professionalism.
• Judges’ decisions are final – As there is no numerical scoring, judges have full discretion in determining who advances.
• Creativity is encouraged – This event is designed to showcase dynamic, high-level weapons performances.
